Terms and Conditions
a) Excel Solar installation and products will be free from faults in materials and workmanship for the corresponding period of warranty referred to above.
b) The installation of Excel Solar’s products has been provided with due care and expertise and has been performed in accordance with all relevant law and applicable standards for the corresponding period of warranty referred to above;
Warranty Restrictions and Exclusions
a) This Warranty will not apply:
1. If any of the Excel Solar products are handled or used by any party other than the installer other than in compliance with the current manufacturer’s instructions which includes the repair or modification of any of the Excel Solar products by someone other than an approved serviced technician of Excel Solar; or
2. If and when any of the Excel Solar products are exposed to conditions which would normally be adverse or harmful to solar panel modules, inverters and mounting frames, including but not limites to:
(i) Removal or damage to the rating plate of an inverter:
(ii) Damage caused by foreign objects, debris or projectiles (including hail or storm-related debris);
(iii) Any usage other than for the sole purpose of generating electricity for a [residential] building, unless approved in writing by Excel Solar; and
3. Conditions resulting from a defect in components which are not part of the Excel Solar products supplied and installed by or on behalf of Excel Solar;
4. Excel Solar will not be held liable for any incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to – Loss of use, loss of profits, loss of production and loss of revenues, in any possible way, connected or associated with the Excel Solar products or the installation of the Excel Solar Products.
Should any part of your installation fail during the warranty period, due to a defect, the following will take place:
Customer to call Excel Solar Pty Ltd on (07) 4638 7344.
Provide name and address (as on the original contracts).
Specify that it is a warranty claim, and state the fault occurring.
Technician is scheduled to check the inverter for the faults/issues.
An RMA form is submitted by Excel Solar Pty Ltd on customer’s behalf.
Replacement inverter is sent out. Once received Excel Solar will contact customer to arrange a time for the swap to take place.
Faulty Inverter is returned to manufacturer.
The job is fully invoiced and payable within 7 days of the swap taking place. (See below for approximate costing, for more accurate pricing please contact Excel Solar Pty Ltd on (07) 4638 7344).
Depending on product brand, approximate delay experienced can be anywhere from 1 week to 6 weeks, from time of fault reported. To find out specific brand delay time, please contact Excel Solar's office.
The standard warranty call out fee incurred is $150.00 Ex. GST, this covers our technician turning up to sight and includes 15 minutes of labour. Any labour outside of this time frame will be charged at an hourly rate of $110 Ex. GST.
